What is Telehealth?

Pinnacle is excited to share that we now offer Telehealth to our community.  These services are offered through a secure connection that is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). You can speak to one of our therapists in the comfort of your own home or location you choose via online video. You can now set up an appointment for Telehealth services.  Call our office at 915-351-4431 if you are interested in our Services. Telehealth is  offered in both English and Spanish. We are encouraging those who cannot make it to our office due to transportation issues, illness, or other circumstances to consider Telehealth.

Telehealth is a technology where one receives psychotherapy through online services.  The client communicates directly with their mental health provider via video chat. The communication is secure and compliant with HIPPA.  Telehealth helps clients and their families with access to treatment while at home, traveling, or any location where one has access to internet services. Telehealth therapy has been shown to be an effective intervention for individuals, couples, and families.

Benefits of TeleHealth services

  1. Improved access to mental health providers Some people may struggle with accessing mental health services due to where they live or poor access to transportation. With Telehealth, geographical area is less of a barrier. You will now have more options in receiving quality therapeutic support with greater accessibility.
  2. Cost Reduction Choosing Telehealth will reduce driving time (no driving time if at home) and cost of gasoline to and from office. You will also reduce time away from work or school.
  3. Flexibility Telehealth allows the flexibility to set a schedule that works for you, utilizing your computer, tablet, or smart phone. You can have a session utilizing whatever technology works best for you.
  4. Comfort The comfort of being in your own home or other secure space can eliminate obstacles of receiving therapy. If you are concerned with others knowing you are receiving therapeutic services, you now have the option of getting services in the privacy of your own home or location you choose.
